I was in a particular "luxury store" on Madison Avenue (name omitted to protect the idiotic), and I heard the manager tell his salesmen (standing around in oversized slouchy suits, scratching their @sses) to be sure to show off the "new luxury" display in their VIP room.
Like unthinking sheep, they brought in every new customer directly into that room... overcrowding it. Where's the elegance in that? Some salesmen had the poor manners to exit the room with their customer, chewing food (left for customers) that they grabbed... and wiping crumbs off their lapels onto the floor and merchandise.
Unprofessionalism cannot masquerade as anything else.
