Practically Impractical Heels for Women
Look at that picture again. The makers of that tape-dispenser had to add a "platform" under the heel, because it wouldn't function or stand up. So, why do women spend tons of money on such uncomfortable?
Do they ignore the "catwalk falls" that models make while wearing them?
Don't they get fed up repairing broken heels? I've always considered them the latest "discomfort" that male-dominated society inflicted on women... right after whale-bone corsets and all types of hoops and laces to squeeze or stretch women throughout centuries.
Considering how each heel jams feet into the pointy tips, it's akin to ancient Chinese "foot binding".
Ignoring their painful feet and enlarging bunions, women keep proudly shoving them on, like Cinderella's sisters trying to get attention.
Unfairly, the men who design those high-heels certainly don't have to contort themselves in any way. Perhaps women should consider humanity's thousands of years without high-heels, and then reconsider their "necessity"--regardless of what Fashion says.
Or ask your trustworthy pediatrist. Be smart and have nice-looking feet for your whole life.
