Many of Prague's oldest buildings were built in the eras of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque embellishment. Therefore, they were given gable plaques to identify the purpose of each shop or to provide a clue about the homeowners. More were added during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras. Thankfully, hundreds of those antiques were spared during wars and preserved against time for future generations. They are so popular that modern businesses create new ones to adorn their stores. Please enjoy these photos of Prague's unique details.
