Guess Who's Who

Even though our vast city is diverse, it's often easy to guess where someone spends most of their time.  People tend to dress to "fit in"--even the "creative" types or those who want to avoid "fitting in".
Looking at these pictures, what would you guess?  (I asked Lewis and some friends, and listed our reasons beneath each)

The "bridge & tunnel" commuter; an office cubicle occupant.
-Standard office attire: nothing individualized.
-Slumped shoulders.
-Sitting at a traditional pub (probably with a burger).

The power-broker realtor.
-Contrast collar, slim suit, pocket square.
-Not exactly grim-enough or "jock" enough to be stockbroker.

Works in "Finance" (or sells Mercedes-Benz).
-Many top-tier guys "on the Street" still dress like Wall Street movie characters: suspenders, contrast collar, peaked lapels, pin stripe suits.
-They grind through so many brokers that they put anybody in a suit and send them out to collect fees.
-Slicked-back hair.

Trendy artist.
-Minimalist clothes, but they're slim and coordinated to show that he's "hip".

Lesbians
-the footwear

Stylish Harlem
-Heritage colors and patterns as bright as his smile.

Professor
-Tweeds, unkept hair, and lawyer's books aren't that colorful.

Self-important "rising" executive
-Carries himself with an air of importance.
-Bespoke clothes, very slim but mimicking traditional look.
-Probably controlling his frayed nerves.

Residents of Alphabet City/Lower East Side:
-Not stylish enough for Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
-Affordable attire.
-Acting like "they don't care".
-"stove pipe"-skinny jeans.

Watchmaker or Owner of a Diner (or someone similar)
-"behind the times" of style; he still doesn't know that men no longer wear baggy clothes that are 2 sizes too big for them.
-Pleated pants.

Upper West Side
-Rumpled, non-traditional mix of clothes.
-Not wearing a full suit, but still adorned with tie and cap.

Upper East Side
-Well-tailored "old money" look = proper amount of cuff and trouser break, but "relaxed" fit.
-Summer suit for summertime, polished shoes, manicure.
-Fedora matches the season.

Brooklyn hipster
-Shaped/waxed moustache.
-Beard and plaid shirt.
-Slim fit shirt, bowtie, suspenders.

Corporate employee (perhaps creative job)
-No socks, cropped pants, yet not too trendy of a look.
-Attaché case.
-Skinny tie, petite shirt collar, slim-fit clothes.

Student at Fashion Institute of Technology
-"wooden" bowtie expresses his individual style.
-Looks like he's 22-years-old.
-His bag matches his tie and could contain a student portfolio

Retail Salesman on Upper Fifth or Madison Avenue
-Who else where's checkered sports coats in the city? (with a boutonnière AND pocket square).
-Everything is from a fashion-house label.

Knows he's pretty... off-duty model or a moocher.
-Shoes and watch are too nice for such a young guy to be working at a regular 9-5 job.
-Form-fitting outfit.

Student at NYU or Colombia University
-Monied and "fashionably aware" youth.

NYC Tourist
-Who else wears an "I Love NY" T-shirt?
-Camera around her neck, sneakers, and backpack.
