THIS guy got hired

The Vice President of Stores for North America (of an ultra-luxury brand) just hired THIS 25-yr-old guy as the new National Director of Visual.  He's in charge of brand image, store windows across the country, etc.  This is his profile picture for Linkedin!!  That's how he wants to appear to hiring managers and job recruiters.  It is very unprofessional.  Perhaps that's because he only graduated 4 years ago.  What are his credentials?  Aside from 6 months as intern at Gucci, he spent 2.5 years as a Visual Assistant for a NYC discount-price store, then 1.5 years as Visual Manager for a mid-price store on Madison Ave.  However, he knows the VP of the luxury company, so... that's how he got in.  Heaven help the thousands of other job seekers in this city who could actually do that high-level job.  American retail continues to amaze me.
